A Word of Gratitude & Encouragement

Difficult times are such a beautiful opportunity to grow and stick together. Over this past month, it has been nothing short of a privilege to proclaim the Scriptures to you in this time of transition and to be reminded of the importance of grasping Jesus Christ “As He Really Is.” I can’t think of a better thing to bind us together during this time of transition.

There is so often that we unintentionally take precious things in our lives for granted. There are people and things that we know are precious and immeasurable in value, yet sometimes we take them for granted. My prayer is that our time in the Scriptures has been a reminder for us of the treasure that Jesus Christ is and how I don’t want anything I’m presuming or misunderstanding about Him to get in the way of knowing and experiencing Him!

When we treasure Jesus as we ought to, we worship him in the way that He deserves. When we treasure Jesus, we get a deeper experience into the abundant life He has for us. Sometimes I need this to be my prayer from the words of Jesus is Better by Worship Initiative:

In all my sorrows, Jesus is better

Make my heart believe

In every victory, Jesus is better

Make my heart believe

Than any comfort, Jesus is better

Make my heart believe

More than all riches, Jesus is better

Make my heart believe

And our souls declaring, Jesus is better

Make my heart believe

And our song eternal, Jesus is better, make my heart believe

Make my heart believe that you are better, Jesus. Make our hearts believe that you are better, Jesus.

Love you church!
