Sunday Evenings
Church family,
After prayer and discussion between the personnel committee and pastoral staff, we have decided to make a change to Sunday night worship for at least until mid-April in efforts to more intentionally walk and seek God together as a church in this time of change and waiting. At 6pm, we will gather for worship through song. After singing, the ladies will transition to the fellowship hall and the men will stay in the sanctuary. During this time, the men and the ladies will each hear a timely encouragement and devotion from God’s Word from men and women in the church. After this, we will take some time in groups to discuss together, and pray for each other individually and for our church specifically according to the Scripture in the season of change and waiting we are in. How powerful will it be for there to be another time to pray for our church? (James 5:16-18)
By doing this, we are hearing timely encouragement from God’s Word, setting apart time to strengthen our unity and relationships, and establishing an intentional time every week to pray for our church through this time of transition and waiting for God. God is growing us, God is sustaining us, God is preparing us, and God will provide for us in the future a pastor alongside Phillip and I to lead God’s church at FBC Glennville. We encourage everyone to attend starting this Sunday, March 1st from 6-7pm. If you have any questions or concerns, reach out!
Love you, church!
Pastor John
